When a project feels like poetry. This Northfield home was a true delight for Natalie O Design. When a new-build lake house fell through, Natalie was sought to breathe new life into a long-loved ranch-style property with an expansive addition and renovation. The family home, one that raised five children, was ready for an update that reflected the true vision and grace of its matriarch. Natalie and her team led the overall vision of the renovation, finding a thoughtful architect and general contractor to bring it to life. Exceptional craftsmanship went into the modern updates, from a walnut-paneled dining space to a contemporary kitchen. Clean lines, bright light, and a minimal aesthetic was paramount to the build. The close communication between the client and the Natalie meant a truly reflective interiors plan. Each texture and shape was considered, from a custom wool runner in the reading nook to a strikingly crafted door. The result is a warm, contemporary and comfortable Louisville home that highlights the family’s paintings and treasures. From internationally sourced furniture, to custom made lucite and burlwood tables, each piece within the home tells a story.
